The Lady Outlaw - Jessica James has been on stage most of her life. She signed a movie contract with MGM when she was seven years old. That lasted until she was married at seventeen. Jessica devoted herself to her family taking a break only to perform in the Student Prince in Heidelberg, Germany in 1972. Jessica returned to the United States in 1973. She toured with her own band throughout the United States and Europe for the next two years, including performances in England and on the BroadLand Radio Network. She appeared on the Grand Old Opry four times and opened shows for almost all of the country stars including George Jones, Faron Young, Alabama, Dottie West and Minnie Pearl.

Jessica released her first album in 1975. Later that year she joined the staff of radio station WFNL in Augusta, Georgia as an announcer, beginning a radio career that lasted twenty-five years. It’s been a lifetime of ’firsts’ for Jessica. She was the first female radio personality in Augusta, Georgia; Orlando, Florida; Knoxville, Tennessee and Springfield, Missouri – where she became known as The Lady Outlaw. Jessica was the first of only five women ever to be listed in the Who’s Who of Country Music Performers and Radio Personalities. In 1994 Jessica hosted Branson Backstage, a weekly TV production and interviewed every resident star in Branson as well as most of the guest stars to visit Branson during that season.

In 1997 she left broadcasting to, once again, perform on stage as a cast member of the Greg Thompson production, The Golden Girls Stand Up and Salute! That year the revue played to standing-room-only crowds in Branson and in Laughlin, Nevada. In 1998 it was the same in Biloxi, Mississippi and – once again – in Branson. In I999 Jessica hosted Greg Thompson Productions’ Great American Game Show at The Grand Casino in Gulfport, Mississippi and at the Seven Feathers Casino in Canyonville, Oregon. Jessica’s singing talents include country and pop... a variety of 40’s and 50’s Big Band Music... and Gospel as well. She has performed on stage with Wayne Newton and Tony Orlando and has performed as the opening act for virtually every major country star performing today.
