| The Bull Shoals
Community Choir is directed by Nancy Lindeen who also directs the Bull Shoals United
Methodist Choir. Several years ago, people from other church choirs expressed this sort of
thing: "Gee you're lucky at BSUMC because you have enough people in your choir to
sing cantatas. Our choir is too small for that." So, Nancy started the community
choir in order to fill their need. At first, they sang in the church; then moved to the
theater, adding standard tunes to the programs. Nancy always tries to select tunes that
have some Christian value in the lyrics. |

| There are two
branches to the Bull Shoals Community Choir: (1) "New Beginnings", a small vocal
ensemble which practices on Monday mornings in the Lutheran Church (this group was started
to accommodate singers who cannot practice at night for various reasons); and, (2)
"The Apple Dumplin' Gang", a group of fun-lovin' women who take it to the limit
with comedy and costumes. They practice hard whenever they can manage to get together. The Bull Shoals Community Choir presents 3 shows a
year at the theater: 1] a show that features an Easter Cantata; 2] a patriotic show that
features a patriotic cantata; and, 3] a Thanksgiving program that features a Thanksgiving
cantata. The choir practices 10 months a year in order to prepare these shows.
